The F-Series of trucks is wildly popular, and seeing what it can do makes that popularity make even more sense. When you're looking for the truck that can handle the loads that the others can't, you're looking for the newly redesigned 2017 Ford F-350 SD.

At the end of the day, a truck has to look the way we expect it to and the F-350 certainly does. The less-than-subtle "Super Duty" branding is centered on the hood, but otherwise the bravado of the styling has been dialed down slightly. The previous generation's bulging hood has been shaved down into smarter creases, and the lower air dam also contributes to the more subtle style as it no longer disappears underneath the truck.

The all-new Ford F-350 has been reinvented, redesigned with a military-grade aluminum alloy body that follows the 2015 redesign of the F-150. This redesign proves that the lighter, more agile effect of the aluminum body doesn't affect the capability of the tough and rugged F-350. The "military-grade" aluminum of the cab body of the F-350 is more resistant to dents and dings than the previous steel construction, but perhaps the bigger reason for using aluminum is the weight reduction it delivers over the previous generation. In fact, the new materials have managed to drop an impressive 350 pounds off the new truck compared to the model it replaced.Even though the body is made of hi-tech aluminum, the fully boxed frame is made of good old fashioned high-strength steel. Up to 95 percent of the frame is created using this high-strength steel, which Ford claims makes the F-350's underpinnings 24 times stronger than those of the previous model.

You can opt for the all-new 2017 Ford F-350 SD in any one of five different trim levels: the XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum. Your next choice is between the three Super Duty cab configurations of Regular Cab, SuperCab, and Crew Cab, which have now been lengthened and also feature a fresh interior design. All of these options mean that you can customize your truck the way you want it, and to fit your budget.

What hasn't changed with the F-350 is the degree of capability it offers from a choice of two distinct engines. The F-350 may only offer one gas and one diesel engine, but they've certainly got all the heavy-duty bases covered between them. With a whole host of class-leading claims to their credit, including payload, towing, and 5th wheel towing capacities, you don't need many more options.
